Angie, Matt and Jaclyn and I took a day trip out to the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge yesterday. We visited Duncan Creek and also hiked to the top of Beacon Rock. Duncan Creek is a beautiful small creek with numerous small waterfalls/slides. Beacon Rock was an interesting hike with lots of stairs, switchbacks and platforms on the way to the top. The hike was 2 miles long and gained ~550 feet of elevation.
Duncan Creek waterfalls.
Matt looking at the stream wondering how he had just slipped into the water (Jaclyn and Angie laughing in the background)! He was trying to cross the stream, but it didn't work out so well.
More waterfalls.
Angie relaxing near Duncan Creek.
One of the slides on Duncan Creek with diffused sunlight filtering through the trees.
